  The more developed a campground becomes, the more dense-pack is both required and common. I recommend that you pursue opportunities in White Mountain National Forest. You can decide the location and level of development that you desire. A cabin or group site provides abundant privacy. Dispersed camping allows you to select a site within a remote forest location. Personally, I almost always go backpacking and find my own dispersed campsites in remote areas. Normally, I have no neighbors. Furthermore, because I camp in isolated areas, I do not have human-habituated nuisance bears in my dispersed campsites. I often have nuisance bears at my campsite in developed campgrounds. In dispersed camping, I carry my own water supplies and water filter. I can have ice if necessary, if I carry it to my campsite.
