What are the best camping spots for 20 year olds southern California area?

I purchased this tent for hot weather camping in Fl,Ga, and NC.The 3 sided screen room,mesh ceiling and large screen windows provide excellent ventilation!The rear of the tent has a 1.5 sq ft awning covered vent for circulation in rainy weather,that is not shown in any of the photos.The side poles are steel and the arched roof poles are fiberglass.I slept in this tent for 8 days in NC with no problems.On two nights it rained very hard and no leaks or water entered the tent! Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area. (A little North of San Bernardino) In March the weather could be highly variable and most likely windy in that area but those are minor issues if you are prepared. Anza Borrego and Joshua Tree are also worth looking into but you'll need to even take your own water at the latter.

No where, March is what it is depending on the weather. We could have 81 degree weather like we did today or full on blizzard conditions like we did in 2010. The key thing is to be prepared for the worst so you can expect the best of times. The best bets for warm temps above freezing at night are the coastal area's the best bets for warm temps during the day are the deserts.
