Where is a nice/cheap place to go camping in nj?

Does anybody know any place to go wilderness camping near NY, PA, NJ, CT ?

I would prefer a place that i don't have to rent out like a camping site. I am aiming to get the best real experience that nature has to offer. Where i can have possible swimming ...show more

While I've never camped, there I've been there. There some nice woods by Foxwoods Casino, north of New London, CT! Park your car in the lot and go for a walk and find a camp spot.
