What food should I take on my hiking/duke of Edinburgh trip?

    I suggest a hot breakfast. Boil a liter of hot water, pour into a water bottle, mix with hot chocolate powder, shake, and drink for a meal. If you want a bigger breakfast, then fry ham and cheese on bread; make pancakes; scramble eggs with vegetables, cheese, and bacon bits. On a hot meal, I have hiked ten miles easily without eating another meal. Cheese spreads or brie with rice chips make a great trail snack if you do not like almonds or dried fruit. Cookies provide almost no healthy nutrients and excessive fat and sugar. If you do not like dried fruit, then haul a pound of fresh fruit in your backpack. The juice helps rehydrate you and the fiber and vitamins are good for you.

peanut butter is a great snack food with lots of protein. Another good one is poptarts they are good. beef jerky, Try apple chips I don't like dried fruit either but they are awesome. slim jims, summer sausage, seeds, pretzels, granola, strawberry fruit leather like a fruit rollup but healthier, try fresh fruit pre cut, energy bars like power bars or anything like that. olives tuna in a pouch. There is a lot of choices just look around your snack aisle in your local store.
