  You are not talking about dispersed camping in a wilderness area. You are talking about the New York Department of Environmental Conservation Adirondack Park Campgrounds. You should look at the specific web-site that discusses the park in which you have interest and contact the park directly for further accurate information. If you are going to be using a developed campground site, you are probably allowed reasonable use of grills. You should be getting a park permit when you arrive on the campground site and probably need an entry pass in addition to the site that you reserve.
