  Here on the East coast, you'll find very, very few places where you won't be trespassing if you avoid campgrounds. If you know a private individual who owns land, you might ask permission. But you'll likely be denied, because the landowner can be held liable in case any of you has any sort of an accident. Even if you signed an agreement not to hold the landowner liable, that agreement does not apply to your own insurance company or whatever entity would have to pay for your care and treatment...even if you were treated at public expense, the landowner can be held liable and can be sued - it isn't up to you whether or not that happens. So take some sensible advice and make a reservation at a public park that allows camping. I have a nice place for you just a few miles from my house here in Upstate New York. It's a public park on the east end of Oneida Lake in Madison County. Google "State Parks in New York" to get the website to make your reservations. The lake is pretty, there's a nice beach and swimming is allowed. It's a very popular campground so make your reservations now!
