    i started when i was 12 and turned pro at 17...its nice to have your own practice track but go to your locale track and sign up in the class thats right for you...begginer, intermediate, or expert. try to ride everyday and just have fun

considering your age you would be put into the junior league...i have done a few motocross races at your age and all i did was find out when the next race with the junior league was and i took my bike and went down to the track...if you get there in time they have registration for the junior league or you can find a race and register online....the best way to start though is off road racing like the baja 500 or the parker 400...that is perfect practice for motocross and you have a good possibility of being spotted by a sponser considering honda racing does all the tecate score international series...it's a fun race and more challengeing than motocross....

Head for a track on practice days..That way you don't have to line-up at the gate against other riders..You just go out with bikes your size...It will let you see where your at and things you are going to have to work on...
