Why does flipkart.com not have an api or work with affiliate marketing companies?

Almost all the large ecomm players in india work with 3rd party affiliates like tyroo, omgpm etc or have an api like amazon, why is flipkart against this strategy

1. Flipkart has it's own affliate program http://www.flipkart.com/affiliate/, and I guess they don't see the need to associate with 3rd party for this. 2. You can use a simple script to make an basic API for flipkart : http://ctrlq.org/code/19497-flipkart-price-api, although I agree that it's not nice that flipkart doesn't have an official API. I believe eventually they will have to release an API though.

As Palash, mentioned, they have their own affiliate program and are also working to provide API in the near future. The fact that they dont work with 3rd party is also good for the advertisers, since the affiliate fees they earn comes direct without any intermediary, excellent tracking and payout mechanisms by FK and you can be assured, the payouts are 100% accurate.
