How to fix your Xbox 360 with the 3 red rings of death?

How can I fix Xbox 360 red rings of death?

  • First my xbox 360 got 4 red rings and then it turned into 3. I don't wanna send it to a repair shop. I think I can fix it. I hope u can help me!!!

  • Answer:

DONT TOUCH IT!!! If the warranty is stil on then send it to microsoft. If you open it up then they wont take it. When you call them be angry and say you're thinking of switching to a ps3 and they will be nicer.

mine actually got 4 death of rings .. i ended up connecting in my living room .. and like for some reason it worked fine .i am guessing that your outlet connection is passing to much electricity to your xbox 360

interesting

well it started as 4 red rings. thats not really a problem. that just means you probaly disconnected the cables by accident or someting. all you gotta do is disconnect everything, wait like a minute and put it all back in and your fine. but then u said it turned to 3. now that is a problem. that would be caused you probaly hitting your xbox or overheating. yeah dude u need to repair. dont try anything for it will void your warranty. the best thing would to repair it

check the little light one the block. if its green theres something wrong with the 360, if it is anything else unplug it and plug it back in somewhere else because theres something wrong with the power cord. but green means theres something wrong with the 360 itself

there are videos and such online that can show you how, or check craigs list because many people will advertise that they fix the rrod and usually have t done in a couple days. however, if it is still under warranty then you should send it to microsoft unless you are CONFIDENT that you will not mess it up because a lot of people do and then microsoft wont take it.

Well since you don't want to send it to a repair shop or Microsoft I suggest to do the same I did while back ago. I fixed it myself with a guide. It's easy, cheaper then sending to repair shop or Microsoft and It will take you only one hour to get it done. Here's a link:
