Will any 2.5 SATA hard drive work with the Xbox 360 slim?

Will the 250GB hard drive for the Xbox 360 work on an Xbox 360 that was bought with a 4GB hard drive?

I have the 4GB version of the Xbox 360 and my friend is giving me his 250GB hard drive from his Xbox 360. Just wondering if it will work on my Xbox 360.

Yes it will work, no there are no differences. Your lucky he is giving it to you, BUT I would be nice and give him some money or buy him something because they are worth about $60 on ebay. Not saying spend $60 bucks on him but just something nice showing you appreciate it.
