Why is my guinea pig always on top of my other guinea pig?

My guinea pig is nice to me but when i but her in the cage my other guinea pig goes up to the other guinea pig and she runs away and my guinea pig runs after her and sticks her but on ...show more

Mounting is perfectly normal. It's a dominance thing. Basically, the guinea pig is trying to say to the other guinea pig 'Hey, I'm the boss pig around here!' Guinea pigs can also mount when they are in heat, or in season as it is also called. They can get abit hormonal and crazy and try to mount everything. They go into heat every 15-17 days.

There are a couple probable reasons. Number 1: Guinea do that alot to play around and have fun, they do it with rabbits to Number 2: If there male and female he might be humping her. Number 3: Some other reason that I dont know.
