In Facebook- whats the difference between News Feed and Live Feed?

The live feed just shows all updates live (in real time) if you or your friends post anything it will appear in your live feed straight away. The News Feed automatically picks the stories it thinks are most important to you based on: How many friends have interacted that piece of content if lots of your friends have commented on an update it is more likely to appear on the news feed Who posted the content The people you interact with most on facebook (visit the profile of, comment on statuses) will appear on the news feed above others. Facebook determines that if you visit someone's profile a lot, or comment on their statuses that you are interested in their updates more than others even if they don't have comments or likes. The type of content (eg, photos, videos, status updates) I dont know how facebook decides which content is the most interesting, but if it went Videos > Photos > Status updates if someone posted a video you would probably see it on the news feed. Relationship status updates tend to appear in the news feed above anything for me so if your 12 year old cousin suddenly decides shes married to another 12 year old girl, and facebook believes it, that will be the top story on your news feed for a while. if you havent visited facebook in a few days it will show the news feed when you login so you can "catch up" without visiting your friends profiles.

News feed is basicly what all is happening around the whole day while live feed is what is happening in the current hour.
