Why is my aol.com out of order?

Why can't the BCCI create an Indian team full of All-Rounders so that the lower order can do some justice when the top order cripples under circumstances?

• There are some matches when the top order cripples sometimes too early into the match and the entire innings becomes dependent on the lower order batsmen. Some of the lower order consists of full-time bowlers who are pretty disastrous at batting and they too cripple pretty quickly after the top order falls. Why can't the BCCI fill its lower order with All-Rounders who can contribute to the score when the top order fails? India has lots of talent and many amazing players are out there looking for ideal opportunities to get into the Indian Team. Don't you think BCCI should wise up and create a team full of All-Rounders?

• Answer:

  A football team would be great if it had 10 great midfielders I.E. People who can pass and retain the ball. But the same doesn't hold for cricket. There have been very few all-rounders who have been great batsmen and bowlers. Kallis is an exception and he also has had to reduce his bowling due to injuries. Being a bowler is already hard on the body and to concentrate on batting is very difficult, Imran Khan did it succesfully but he is also a rare case. Kapil Dev was a more naturally talented batsman but he really couldn't concentrate on both. And currently our best all rounders seem to be Jadeja,Pathans and Ashwin. None of these players can win matches on a consistent basis. So let the Kohli's bat and Umeshs take wickets. Its better to have 6 batsmen capable of scoring 150 and 5 bowlers capable of taking 2-3 wickets in all conditions rather than 11 players who might not be able to really pick wickets when a situation arises.
