Why my msn status doesnt change?

i have change my msn status but when i ask my friend they will say it didnt change and so is my personal message i change it but others say it didnt change

If this is recent (as in today only) the Windows Live Messenger server has been delaying changes lately. Just be patient and it will change, it's nothing to worry about, just a delay between client-server-client connection.
