there is A MASSIVE msn virus going around, from 2008 its still spreading, mines showing me offlien too, and also sending links to all my contacts its proably that, im waiting on an answer how to fix it, so yeah when i do ill message you, too see if thats what is causing this!

You have your status set to "Appear offline" most likely. If you right click on the icon in the tray it should give you the option to change this setting.

you might have it set to show you offline try looking for your controls and try to change that
