How to (permanently) delete my msn messenger account?

I don't know how to delete my very old messenger account on the new layout. Also, if i delete my messenger account, do I still keep my hotmail account, because I still need that.

Nope, you can't keep your Hotmail and get rid of messenger. Just don't log into messenger if it bothers you.

To delete your MSN messenger account, go into programs and Uninstall the program as it says then it's gone from your PC but will stay dormant on the internet without being noticed. This will Not delete or affect your Hotmail Email account in anyway whatsoever because it's not a program. Your Hotmail account will stay on the internet for your use the same as you have always been doing
