How do I delete my Google account without deleting my Youtube account?

    "For the time being, once a link has been made between YouTube and gmail accounts, it is permanent. They cannot, by policy, be unlinked. Note: Nothing you do will solve this, it's policy. Trying to "get around" it may inadvertently disable one or more of your accounts, I wouldn't bother trying." the only thing you can do to unlink the accounts would be to go here: http://www.youtube.com/my_account_unlink however, once you unlink the account you are required to sign up with a different google account. so basically, you can make a new google account, but no matter what, if you want to keep you youtube you have to have a google.

I think this no longer works. This is the page he speaks about, I think. https://www.google.com/settings/datatools The help in on the top ribbon but I think that option to unlink is no longer available.
