Why did Google remove the .. from it's toolbar?

I use Google toolbar to get to some websites that my mom doesn't let me on (MySpace) so I don't have to use the address bar. I want to use the toolbar where you type a letter ...show more

Im not sure if it will come back but here is a site that will probably most likely help you...at least i hope it does Okay i cant find the site i was looking for but if you go to www.yahoo.com it does the same thing.

Google didn't do that, your browser did it. It's just that, "familiarity breeds contempt" for your having to type the ".com" and your browser knows the "title" of the website rather than the url.
