Yes you could use any of the sites already mentioned. If you are happy not to own the site or be in total control of it. Those free sites are free for a reason - they control the advertising and cn take you 'offline' at any time. If you want to be taken seriously as a blogger you need a .com domain ( will cost you under $10) and have your own self-hosted Wordpress blog ( cost: about $60 p.a. for the hosting). While that might sound a lot you could probably easily offset those costs with advertising revenue. I should know I've made a full time living online for the last 7 years doing that. http://www.BlogBriefing.com But, sure, if you just want a free blogging site that nobody ( apart from you, your Mom and your best friend) will ever read then, as I say, follow one of the other answers.
