Why does my computer never connect on start up?

When I start up my computer I always have to connect and then disconnect from my router to get online?

i either repair the internet connection or I just connect and then disconnect from my router. any suggestions on why this happens or what i can do?

whats the OS that u have installed in u r PC? is u r computer alas connected to router or not? is it a laptop ? its found to be an issue with vista that soon u connect the ethernet cable ip address wil not be taken automaticall for that u need to start the laptop or the router the landrivers are not up to date when u go online the signal will not be recognised by the computer or u r router is getting the static electricity so that should drained check with these
