How can I find foster parents?

I am 19 and want to find my old foster parents? how can i find them?

    If you know their first and last names and old address, whitepages.com or http://www.yellowpages.com/findaperson I've actually found my former foster parents on the yellow pages site. They had moved 3 states over. We talk to each other at least every month now. Also, pretty much everybody's on facebook or myspace. Again, you'd ned to know their first and last names. Good luck!!

I hope you find them. In my state foster parent records are private as I believe they should be. A caseworker can not disclose a foster parent's address or info with the FP's permission. If you were a teenager and spent a couple of months with them then you know their names. I hope you find them ---we are still getting calls and visits from some of "our kids." Good luck.

You need to give some more info. I'm assuming you know their names. Do you know where they moved to? What state was the placement in? How long ago was it? Things like that.

Because of privacy acts, it's very common that a social worker wouldn't give the addresses, but, it might very well work to have her forward a letter. In the letter itself, you'll need your contact information. Write something that you know the social worker wouldn't be offended if she reads it. Then, take a blank envelope (don't put your return address on it), and ask her if she'd forward it to the foster family. Also, if they had kids of their own in school, a school counselor might do the same for you. Whitepages and other internet sights are good too.
