    Yes he should have been banned. This now shows other teams that if you don't get punished enough for something like fixing a race then you can get away with many other things with just a slap on the wrist. And the worst case scenario is that you will be sacked. But if he had been banned it would have shown the principals of other teams that once something like this has been done, they (FIA) will not tolerate it. So in my opinion, I think yes, he should have been banned. FIA should have fought harder to try and keep that ban on Flavio Briatore.

His lifelong ban, in my opinion, was the right decision. He deserved to be punished for what he did & the lifelong ban was an acceptable punishment. But, I believe it was illegal to impose such a harsh penalty on him, which is why it was overturned. Ultimately I believe he will still get a ban, but not as severe.

Yes, the cheating bastid should have been banned for life! But, as Allan says, it should have been done properly so it could stick. Max fukced it up and now we have the pleasure of Nelly and Flabbio still hanging round motorsport. Bad, bad news.
