English people: did you like the wedding? What do you think of the royal family?

i love the royal family they are very respectful and good people. and i see the royal family as the last bit of culture that england has, also they are good for out economy and generate a lot of money. The wedding was excellent and she looked beautiful and classy and simple like every woman should be.

It was a complete waste of time and tax-payers money. I despise the royal family.

we only like wills and kate the rest are corrupt assholes..they killed diana thats a fact ..remember the king is a freemason and he can get away with it..not for long though/

I am not English but the wedding was very boring...The best British royal wedding was in 1981.

I think that the lower classes are now ready to accept a degradation of their buying power. A divine right monarchy doesn't come free. After such a splendid extravangaza even the middle classes will welcome a raise of the price of gas.

The wedding was too long and contained too much meaningless guff but that's often the case with church weddings. The pomp and ceremony of the overall event was impressive, just not the service itself. It must have been a huge disappointment to William & Kate though they could never say so. As for the royal family, I think they do a good job (and supporting roles) as head of state. They have the advantage of being above politics, being cost effective and providing continuity beyond normal political cycles. While I dislike the principle of inherited privilege, in the case of the royals we also have to consider the inherited obligations towards the people. That is no easy ride so I think it right to respect their position.

Lots of money coming into the economy, Waving lots of union jacks and beautiful dresses and procession... i loved it, whats not to love? I was in london and although i didn't see it first hand the atmosphere around was so much fun and exciting.
