I want to learn how to snowboard. What all will I need, and where can I get it?

Borrow your friend's board and see if you even like it. Maybe you can buy their extra board for cheap. All your friends will know where to get gear locally, so check out the early season sales. Sports Authority has Sniagrab going on here and they have last years gear on sale. Look for some new boots at a minimum, cause who wants to use old boots. http://www.sportsauthority.com/ Plan on taking at least a weekend lesson, friends will say they will teach you but if they are any good will not want to take a day off and wait for you to learn. You will fall alot, so plan on a sore backside.
