Hi im a ski patrol. I think the best for a snowboard for you is up to your nose and if you like to do free style you want to have a wider board if you get a shorter one it also makes it easier to carve and do flips and fun stuff (: Uhm I would recommend to have a helmet to protect your noggin and i think the best brands are like burton but more on sizing and stuff Free style: Shorter about shoulders, wider board Regular: Board all the way to the tip of your nose Uhm also when you put your bindings on a lot of people make the mistake of putting them on backwards which i think is called goofy you can re-arrange them any way you want the bindings can be moves to any angle your comfy with and the best place to buy boards would be at a sports store dont go to zumiez or anything play it again sports or sports authority are good and have reasonal prices
