What brand of snowboard is better to buy?

What snowboard size should I get? What snowboard brand? Should I buy locally?

  Well i'm going to answer in point form cause it'll be easier for you and me both. Go for Burton. If you're going to be using their demo boards then may as well stick to what you know. I love burtons. obviously don't go for a park board. Go into ur board shop and just see which ones you like, check the flex (hold the top and use ur other hand to press in the middle.. or use ur foot to press in the middle) Check to see if the board fits to well. i know people say that you shouldn't check if it's up to your nose/ chin but that is ultimately the main idea. even if you're a bit off, you're not going to notice 2 cm. Make sure that you're done your grow spurt. if you're still growing, then try and buy a board that is a bit bigger than what you're wanting. Check the graphics =) OBVIOUSLY you want a nice looking board. Make sure that the price is right. don't spend a lot of money on a board that isn't what you're wanting. If you're buying a board on craigslist or whatever try and be able to like.. view it before u buy it. while checking it out, check to make sure the sides don't have any chunks taken out of it. Also check the bottom of the board & see if there's like... huge scratches in it. if there is, i'd say check for another board. anyway hope i helped ps. If you're serious about boarding, buy a board that will last you longer than a year. maybe that means buying it big and riding a big board for a year then next year it'll fit. i'm not sure you're the one who ultimately decides on what you're gonna do. :) good luck sir.
