If you mostly ride the park don't feel guilty - lots of park riders don't bother because they're not looking for speed. 5 times a year times 4 years isn't exactly heavy wear and tear. But maybe you should try getting it waxed this season just to cut down on base abrasion. Tuning involves sharpening the edges. If you ride pipe or on good old eastern US ice, you'll really appreciate the improved edge hold that a new tune gives you. After 20 riding days your board may need a tune. Run your finger along the edges in the area between the bindings; if it's not feeling like it's almost cutting your finger, or if you feel burrs where you might have nailed a rock or someone else's board, take it in for an edge tune. If you do get it tuned, ask the guys in the shop to 'de-tune' the tip and tail a bit so you don't lock into your first carve and launch into the trees. As far as those bindings go, you might want to move them to play around with your angles and stance width. At the very least, check them for tightness, and dog down any loose screws. You don't want binding mobility when you're going fast.

To keep you on it ! Wax it every time you use it. Mainly, tune ups involve changing ALL bearings.
