Going snowboarding for the first time tomorrow, will I get hurt?

It's not that hard. I can't say if your going to get hurt or not. It's a 50% chance. I never got hurt but it's soooooo fun!! Just dress warm and bring water because you get thirsty! Have fun!

Learning to snowboard does not have to be a painful and frustrating experience. By understanding and learning the basic maneuvers one step at a time, you'll find that snowboarding is actually quite an easy skill to acquire once you know how to go about it. Falling down is the best part.

I've been snowboarding since I was was 6 years old, and trust me when I say you will be being much too cautious to get injured at all - except for maybe a some small bumps and bruises, depending on the type of snow. ;) Definitely don't be afraid! Snowboarding is easy as hell, if you do get scared or feel like you're going too fast, just sit down. You'll probably be on the small bunny slope anyways, and I'm sure your friend will walk you through everything. Good luck, and have fun!!

I wear wrist guards under my gloves even though I am good. I wore knee pads over my pants when I started out so that I didn't rip them. And I would wear a helmet and goggles or sunglasses.
