Where is the best place to go snowboarding in buffalo?

    ah trying to snowboard in buffalo--- plenty of snow just no mountains --i lived there for 9 years...well nowhere within 20 minutes...ellicotville is your best choice..BUT avoid holiday valley and go to Holimont--that is by far the best resort in western ny--its open to the public midweek but private on weekends, being a college student you should be able to skip class and go http://www.holimont.com/index.aspx

I've never been to Snow Park because I'm not a fan of indoor parks. I like the real deal. Kissing Bridge is a resort that's about...ehh 30 minutes away. It's got a decent number of trails and some rail parks. If you want the best, I definitely recommend Holiday Valley. That's in Ellicotville which is about a 45-hour drive from where I live (a suburb of buffalo). They got a lot of slopes and some sweet runs. I always go there even though its the furthest, but it is by far the best. Ellicotville is a sweet laid-back town too, a lot of nice bars and shops too. Pretty sweet. Holiday Valley isn't 20 minutes away, but I definitely recommend going there. Kissing Bridge is the second best.
