Where can I ice skate in Singapore?

Is it harder to ice skate on smooth ice than on rough ice?

  • the first time i ice skated, i was on rough ice, and it was really easy for me and i never fell down. i was wondering if smooth ice would be harder to skate on.

  • Answer:

Smooth ice can be slightly more slick, but really I struggle to skate more on rough ice rather than smooth ice because it is so rough.

umm it depends what level of skater you are. smooth ice is way easier to do jumps and spins on but for just a beginning public skater rouch ice gives you better traction. best of luck!

Well for an inexperienced skater it is easier to skate on rough ice, but it does not take long to get used to the smooth ice even people that have only skated on rough ice.

No smooth is easier trust me rough ice is really hard to skate. :)

The skaters i know won't even go on rough ice. Rinks resurface the ice every 1-2 hours for a reason. Rough ice is harder to skate on and dulls the blades; plus skaters can't perform their routine on rough ice.

I would assume that smoother ice is harder. there is nothing there (ridges) to keep your skates from slipping away from you.
