  • Answer:

That is FAST! Really fast. I was in basic 4 learning 3 turns after 3.5 months. You will keep going fast if you skate 7 hours a week. That is a lot for just starting out.

It's pretty good but I am worried about the order of your progression and the quality of coaching you are getting. No coach in their right mind should allow a student to start on the loop before they even have the salchow, and where is your scratch spin? That should be down well before the sit, and your upright should be stable before you even think of it.

I hAve been doing ice skating lessons for a year I'm a group format skate uk might be different format In the USA but I can do Forward Drag Bunny Hop into Drag Forward Spiral on a curve & on a straight line Backward Spiral on a curve & on straight line Teapot One foot spin 4 revs Two foot spin 4 revs Toe loop jump - but it's hard to land sometimes Mohawks Three turns Backwards Crossovers Forwards Crossovers Waltz (three jump) Hold my leg one foot glide for like the whole length of the rink on both feet. Sooo if you can do like all of that in the space of 3.5 months then that's amazing ! It took me a year to be able to do all this to a good standard :)
