New Ice-Skating Blades?

sounds like you're talking about boots rather than blades... i wouldnt know about different blades, im still on my first pair and shall be for a long time yet. boots however, do need to be broken in. this means they need time to adjust to the shape of your foot. you can do this a few different ways. heat moulding is one option and involves placing the skates in a special oven. DO NOT TRY THIS WITH A REGULAR OVEN!! it will dry out the leather and make it crack. go to a pro shop and have it done there. then there's the traditional way, skating! they will probably hurt your feet at first and it may take a while to get used to the toe picks on the blades. make sure to bring plasters and wear thin socks or tights. follow the instructions you got with your skates very carefully. good luck and happy skating!

First off, you need to know if they are the right size. Second, you need to try to break them in a little more IF you find out they are the right size. I know that hockey skate sizes are different then shoe sizes, though I'm not sure for other ice skates. If anything hurts, try to skate it off a little, if that doesn't work, take them off. Try to do this for a few days, if it doesn't work then maybe they just aren't comfortable or are the right size.
