How much are my ski blades worth?

Advice about buying ski blades?

    You're just as well buying a pair of twin tip skis. The technology is much more advanced, there is a wider choice and you can use most kinds as your main ski. Snow blades have never really been in demand so the technology isn't really there and only a few companies bother to continue to make them any more. If you were to buy any then salomon would be the best bet and most reliable in terms of safety, build quality etc. You're also quite limited in what you want to do on the mountain: you can't go off piste or do many of the more challenging blacks in most resorts. If you just want a fun little alternative to your usual skis then it's a safe bet if you enjoy the piste and don't mind staying on them.
