Do ski blades (snow blades) make you go faster then normal skis?

i want to go faster so i will try ski blades and i am not sure if they will help me go faster and also i broke my ski and i had to find something so i am trying these and hoping they ...show more

no. they are not even comparable. just save ur money and get real skis. blades are good for practicing your balence on real skis though. my ski coach told us that and he's a pro.

They go similar speeds. I have used both many times. Ski tracks mapped my speed at 78 mph on my snowblades last week at snowbasin, utah. The reason olympic skiers use long skis is because they are more stable at high speeds. You need a long edge in order to grip the snow on turns when moving at high speeds. Snow blades required much more effort to turn when going that fast, and your turning radius is more than doubled.

no you cant go any were near the speed of a normal ski but you can turn well
