What size of ski should I get?

I am 5 foot 4 and 105 pounds what size park ski should i get?

  • i skied since i was 3 then i went to snowboarding at like 9 and im back to skiing park any help with the ski size i should get?

  • Answer:

At that size and height and 146, 149, or 151 would be best depending on the ski and your ability. If you're new to park and mostly riding slower, learning to ride switch and hitting smaller boxes and rails and doing small rotations get something smaller. Typically you can size up a bit for twin tips because they have less effective edge than traditional skis, and rockered skis may have even less. That said, a ski small enough for your size is not easy to find since it sounds like you're between a youth ski and an adult ski. I would get a small a ski as possible in an adult size, which will likely be about 149. Rocker camber might also help you maneuver a larger ski as well, since 149 or 151 in a traditional ski would only work at your weight if you were a very strong skier. Smaller skis will be more forgiving on landing rotations and easier to spin and maneuver - especially riding switch. A larger ski will be more sure-footed landing big air and riding at high speeds. I would recommend getting something soft in the beginner-intermediate range for a young adult like Salomon Threats or something similar around the 150 range. 155+ is going to be too big though.
