Answer:
Not that I know of. I also have severe acne and I drink a lot of water, but it does not matter whether I drink a lot or not. It stays the same. But drinking enough water REALLY helps for other things, such as: 1.) Reduces headaches and fatigue, due to dehydration. 2.) Improves digestion of food. 3.) Helps keep the body hydrated, which can be a serious concern when in vigorous physical activity or during summer weather. You should drink about 1-2 liters of water a day (about 4-8 eight-ounce glasses). But it depends on your body chemistry, environmental factors, and physical activity factors. Consult with your dermatologist to determine what course of action you should take to clear up your acne. I am currently taking antibiotics, and they seem to being clearing it up; as well as I use face cleaner, the Proactiv 'Refining Mask', and a cream. Acne is caused by bacteria in your pores. Hormones can strongly effect acne. Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done about the hormones. Keeping your face clean is the best you can do, along with what I described in the previous paragraph.

It's been working for me! My understanding is that it takes anywhere from a week to a few months to work. Good luck! :)

It does help, but it is not the whole solution, just part of the solution. Try to drink at least 6 glasses per day. Any type of water should be fine. You should see improvement in about one week. The real solution is different for every person. It depends on gender, age, skin type, and a lot more. I tried a lot of things, products, home-made remedies, diets, etc., but what really made a difference and got rid of all my acne was birth control pills. If this is an option for you, I recommend you get an appointment with your gynecologist and ask him to give you a prescription for any birth control pill that also treats acne.
