    Late August begins the qualifiers for the teams that dont have a direct route to the Champions League. Those are probably considered preseason. Then in September begins the Group Phase. January usually off for winter break and February begins the Knockout rounds. The finals are usually held mid-late May. This year it ends in Athens, Greece! Also, it is staged in the Olympic Stadium, the same one from the Athens 2004 Olympics. I was there, awesome area and stadium!!!
