What are some good web directories to submit my website to? I am a family lawyer and want to get some traffic?

There are couple of things you could try. Since you line of business as practicing lawyer and I presume is based on local traffic rather than national or international, be specific in your sphere of advertising. Concentrate the Ad$ on your locality. Like the saying goes 7x7 before the message sinks in. That a person should see your advt 7 times in 7 medias each. Having said that you can try Google Adwords and some traffic exchanges. Check it out @ http://www.geocities.com/lcming/website4 ps * making your website a resource site plus a blog maybe, will increase your chance to be on the top search engine list

IMISIDRO has given you a ton of great sites to submit your site into. You need to definitely need to submit in google DMOZ, Washlaw and certainly targetlaw. Someone mentioned targetlaw and I have a ton of my clients that have been getting hits from this site so make sure you submit there if they already don't have your site. You should also consider verizon superpages, lawyers.com findlaw.com and anything related to law. Try not submitting in non law related sites. Articles are good but the content is becoming less valuable considering most of these services are using the same content. Best thing to do is just to create content for your own website or a service that doesn't allow other sites to dupe their content. Good luck, its a rat race!!!
