I ve grt wish to do work as volunteer in canada, how can i get it ? can anyone guide me for this ??

Things are still almost the same as they were in the eighties. I moved to Surrey in British Columbia - and I always worked as a volunteer over the years for the girl guide Association - but I moved into a housing Cooperative and found out that the boys had no where to have a community or club. So I olften spoke to children who were getting up to mischief if they would turn up at a meeting - I had just got permission to use the Hall - well I had at least eight cheildren - and then because my Full time job was working with one of the biggest charities - i phoned the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada in downtown Vancouver, when they visited me in the small Hall, they had found out there was no clubs like this in the Area. I then asked the police to come and give a pet talk to the children and they did. Through the RCMP - I was invited to a meeting in the area and found out how to get a School Gym - then we were on our way - I only gave it up when I became sick for a short while in the ninties - but by that time the area had other projects. But happy to say - there is many things if we thought about it - it is just going out and finding out - through the libraries - hospitals - schools and some times to the children and many others in your area. In can be very rewarding - children if directed in the right way - can give many rewarding hours - these children became very responsible adults
