Answer:
I am beginning a blog soon talking about the Ergonomics of Sleep. Ergonomics at the work site is a common discussion people are familiar with but not in how sleep position, ergonomics, can increase or decrease pain. One third of our life is spent sleeping but how many of us, now as adults, only can sleep in one or two positions. Other positions are no longer comfortable for us and cause us physical irritation leading to pain and our eventual waking from a deep sleep. Our time sleeping is time to restore and revitalize...... Positions while sleeping can increase or decrease pain. Sleep positions can be applied to the pelvic and hip area. My website is for a product I invented but will reflect more and more of these ideas and will link to the blog area eventually. Good luck in finding something natural to help your husband with the hip pain. I relate and sympathize. LP

Arthritis in the technical sense means inflammation of a joint. Try some ibprofen, or another pain reliever. Also here are some websites that I think will give you some good ideas! http://www.gaucher.org.uk/pain99.htm http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8893567/ Hope they help! Good Luck!

I pop 800 mg of ibprofen when mine flares up and usually repeat in about 5 hours. Unfortunatly every time it is going to rain it happens. I use a heating pad until the drug takes, it seems to help a bit.

regular excercise helps to lessen arthritis symptoms as far as meds go the best OTC that i have found is advil or its generic ibupropen it comes in 200 mg. but an adult can actually take 800 mg every 6 hours just be careful because this can be upsetting to the stomach may want to take with food also there are some vitamins that i take that seem to help one called MSM and any fish oil variation

Arthritis is classified as an autoimmune disease because it is caused by the body's own immune system attacking the joints. Other factors can aggravate arthritis, such as: ...deficiencies of minerals and other nutrients ...microbes and toxins ...lack of water intake. Essential oils constitute one of the most effective treatments for combating arthritis pain and combating infection if it is present. MSM has been documented to be one of the most effective natural supplements for reducing the pain associated with arthritis. Also, glucosamine and chrondroitin are some of the most powerful natural compounds for reducing inflammation, halting the progression of arthritis and rebuilding cartilage. I've had good results using Sulfurzyme and PanAway. Hope this helps. Good luck.
