Answer:
i have had that happen to me before. your probably just stretching your leg muscles out when you run. you have to stretch out more before you jog. if this isnt the case you might have torn a leg muscle. if your legs started going numb ever since you have been first jogging, then its stretching. if your legs started going numb just recently, then you have probably torn a muscle and i suggest going to the doctor.

Sounds like nerve damage to me, because of the numbing. Go see your doctor.

it sounds like u don't have the correct shoe fit for u number one. number two, it sounds like ur not eating enough before u jog, number three it sounds like ur not getting enough electrolytes, so what u wanna do is drink a small sip as u run when u start to feel tired in ur body like ur feeling...that sensation is pretty normal for long distances when ur muscle start to get tired...so when u start feeling that sensation, that's ur legs telling u that u shouldn't run anymore and u should rest. because u exhausted the muscle...so, get new shoes, if u run everyday or every other day, u need new shoes every couple months because there is no longer that support u had in the beginning.. run, bring a small water bottle with some propel mixed in strapped to ur waist if u don't like to carry it...and when u start to feel that pain and numbness, that means ur muscles are done and exhausted...continuing when ur legs feel like that can injure u, causing u to pull a muscle or they could be fatigued enough to give out and cause u to fall...but go see a doc, they too will tell u to get new shoes and to stop when ur muscles are fatigued...another explanation is that u dont get enough blood circulation in the legs to go taht long if it continues after u did get new shoes and u do carry a bottle of something like propel...if that is the case, rub them to warm them and bring a bit better circulation to relieve some ofthe discomfort...u also need to stretch after a run and in the morning (usually i do a few yoga poses and some old school stretching amped up because im pretty darn flexable. u have to stretch the whole body) the pain and numbness is normal though when ur muscles get too fatigued.

i do not run or jog. but at times get the numb and pain you describe... have you ever been to a chiropractor ? common misconception is that "i dont need one my back does not hurt" . they are more interested in misalligned and pinched nerves. they adjust & manipulate bones in order to get your nerves where they need to be so all your organs can communicate with your brain. bones are organs....skin is an organ....muscles...tendons.....all need to talk to your brain for proper function..... ask around people you know to find one they knows what he is talking about.... as with any job or trade there is chiropracors and doctors that give their trade a bad name.
u might not be used to jogging. i used to do tae kwon do and the muscles in my legs hurt too. i could hardly sit down but i just got used to it soon.

I get this too...You need to stretch more. Try to stretch when you 1st wake up, not only right before you run. My calves are very tight and I get the same symptoms you have and stretching helps. Even if you have to stop mid run to stretch.

maybe you are just really tiring ur leg muscles, when i jog and get past the breaking point where u no longer really feel like ur legs are tired, just kinda there and keeping u moving. my legs will be numb and sore and almost painful at the end and take a bit to go back to normal.
