How do you calculate SAT score?

How do you calculate you total sat score?

  • do you just add writing, critical reading and math? do you add the essay and multiple choice score? thanx =)

  • Answer:

You just add up the writing, critical reading, and math scores. The essay and multiple choice questions make up your writing score. For instance: 500 out of 800 in Math (multiple choice & grid ins) 500 out of 800 in Critical Reading (multiple choice) 500 out of 800 in Writing (essay & multiple choice) Total Score: 1500 out of 2400

Other answers

depends, some schools only want your critical reading and math grade, and other schools want the essay and multiple choice included. critical reading and math are out of 1600 and when you add the writing and multimple choice grade it is out of 2400 just add the scores together

Missy

you take the math score, writing, and critical reading and add them together. then you divide by 3 because there were 3 tests. example: i got a 93 on one test, a 85 on another, and a 70 on the last. i add 93+85+70 which = 248 I took 3 tests so i divide by three- 248 divided by 3= 82.6- so 82.6 is my average
