Which is better - Homeschooling.?

    The best method depends on the student. My 12 year old loves the computer, but she prefers book work to online courses. I think this is mainly due to the ebooks vs. hard copy texts, so I can sympathize - I don't like ebooks very much either! My younger daughter loves her online coursework, but then again, her "texts" are quite a bit shorter. I love the organization and convenience of online schools. Having my childrens records maintained by the curriculum company is a huge time saver. We do a combination of book vs online studies. Your parents would have to check with state laws, but I'm certain your parents can officially withdraw you at anytime during the year.

we do both, my son in 8th grade does online classes for math, some Languag arts, Social studies and science, while also doing some book work. Maybe mixing them up a bit can help keep it fun and interesting

It really depends on which one works best for you. Also book work can vary from textbooks to workbooks to literature based programs.

no offense but home schooling degree is no where near as good as a formal degree. All it shows is that you know how to use a computer at home. some colleges wont accept a home school degree.

It is best to go first down the part time route - as then you can see for the next 4 months if not having your friends around you every day really suits you, while at the same time boost your usual school scores. It also lets you experiment between the online version and old book work - I like a mix. I have created a list of online schools you can ask - they are all very friendly to email.
