What do you need exactly to be homeschooled?

First of all, your mom should be telling you what material you'll need to learn, not the other way around. If you are really planning to go the home school route, then your mom should be certified to teach at a 7th grade level, and she should know what class materials you will need Second, if you hire someone, you would in effect be privately tutored which is not the same as homeschooling. Third, the course curriculum for a 7th grader could easily be obtained at a local school or possibly online. However, if your mom is planning to teach you then she should have access to all the materials necessary. Finally, I'd advise against homeschooling since you'll be missing out on one of the most valuable learning experiences of all: Social interaction. If you're not around kids your own age, then you won't learn the skills you need to successfully navigate the world later on in life.
