I need some ideas for an evergreen theme for preschool.

Need ideas to decorate a preschool classroom for a one month CAMPING theme.?

  • Want to give classroom a complete camp fill, with trees, lake, animals, etc... with a camp fill. Any ideas?

    Ask parents if any have potted trees they could bring or just really tall plants. You could also use tall cardboard rolls like from gift wrap or paper to make trees. Have the kids help. Blue tarp on the floor for a lake. Ask kids to bring in stuffed forest animals. (bears, raccoons, etc.) Set up a tent in your dramatic play area. Use long pieces of newsprint on the walls. Let kids draw or paint trees, animals, etc. (I'm assuming that actually painting your walls would not be an option.) I think most of the "camp feel" will be through children's imaginations and activities rather than the teacher physically decorating the room. Paint the walls orange yellows to give the effect of a sun set. paint trees every where and silhouettes of birds and animals amongst the trees. Paint a campfire somewhere on one of the walls with people sat around it. one guy with a guitar :) tents and stuff behind them. On the floor you could use artificial grass which is soft. or maybe chipped wood. Put some indoor plants in the corners of the classroom. not to many though. i hope this helped somewhat.xxx
