How many miles does the Suzuki XL 7 last for?

Does anyone else have a Suzuki XL.7 (2001 low miles) with a knock in the engine?

    Probably needs either a new timing belt tensioner or a new crank. For a while suzuki put the 2.5L crank in the 2.7L motor. If your car happens to have the 7yr/100,000mi warranty(wasn't offered until late in 2001(a Suzuki dealer can tell you if you do)) bring it to your local Suzuki dealer and the repair will be covered under the 7/100,000mi warranty.

Make sure you have enough motor oil in the engine.

if you have a knock in the engine it could be a blown piston, or the piston skirt could have chipped off. you need to get this checked fast. if you do have one of these problems, it will only get more expensive to fix if you leave it alone.
