  We have the same exact car: 95 saab 900 SE convertible and experienced the same problem. Here's what I did: 1) Check the fuses. There is also a fuse on the back of the radio. To pull out the radio, insert two metal shirt hangers that are bent straight. Wiggle them around to pop the radio out. 2) If there is a blown fuse, replace it. In our case, the fuse on the back of the radio kept blowing, indicating a deeper problem. If this is the case, you might be better off finding an identical radio on e-bay for around $40-$60. That's what we did. A new radio at the dealer will put you back hundreds of dollars.
