Changing your speed would change the type of drag, e.g. from induced drag to parasite drag (or at least, the majority of the type of drag working on the plane at a given time). Increasing the flaps settings or lowering the gear on a retractable gear aircraft will increase the drag, and likewise, the opposite behavior will decrease the drag.
