I have a travel website that is getting 2000 Unique Visitors and at least 20 enquiries per day - What can I do to Monetize this!?

Hi, I have a travel website that is getting over 2000 Unique vistors per day, the website was set up in 2005 and caters to the Philippines market. The website on average gets over 20 enquires a day based on the travel packages that are on the site. What I understand is online marketing. I don't have any experience in the travel industry. If I had to put together travel packages for the people who were enquiring on my website, I wouldn't know where to start and would definitely be way in over my head! Should I find find a partner? Is there a safe way that I can link up with different local travel agencies in the Philippines and pass the leads onto them and they take care of it, and then I take 20-50% cut on their commission. And if so, how do I make sure I dont get screwed over by them? I think it would be a lot of effort to have to take all the money every time and then payout all the money to the travel agency and keep my small percentage. In an ideal world, I would want them to take the payment and then they pay out my commission of all the sales that I gave them every month. I thought about becoming an affiliate of agoda or http://booking.com/ or expedia, But the people who are enquiring on my website are asking for the packages that they see (Plus its not great commissions on the packages). If I saw that i had the right process in place I could add more packages and set my linkbuilders onto it and seriously market the hell out of it. But I just need to know that I am fully capable of supplying the customers with what they have asked for on my site. I feel like I am just throwing money down the drain everyday! How I see it is that I can rather sell the leads, be an affiliate of one or several travel companies or become a travel agency myself. I'm open to any advice or ideas on this, Please help me quora :)

Answer:
Well to start you could get in touch with me. Other than talking to me, I think the approach really depends on the type of information you have on your website. If you have rich content with a lot of interaction, then you have several options: 1) Sell ad space - Boring but easy to manage. To do this you'll have to create banner space and come up with standard pricing plans for your banners. You'll need to market your website by doing sales calls on travel businesses who is in your target market. 2) Become a booking channel for the businesses mentioned on your site. 3) Sell related products (like travel guides) While these are the 3 main ways to monetize your blogs, you'll have to think harder on implementation. As a wise mentor used to say it's all about the execution execution execution
