How can I get a job in Switzerland?

    To get a job, you need to be fluent in the language spoken where you're headed. The pecking order is as follows; Swiss, European, American, god help you if you're anyone else. To hire someone that is NOT Swiss, the company is legally required to PROVE that you are capable of doing something that a Swiss citizen could not do, which makes it rough. To stay, you need to apply for a permit, which is difficult to do unless you do it through a place of employ or a school. Try looking online for companies and see if there is a way to apply for internships or jobs online- that will tell you better what your odds are of being able to accomplish your goal, but I would have an alternative game plan, because two months is not a long time to make what needs to happen happen.

If you are a national of a EU country, you should have not too many problems. Look for a job, apply for it and then the employer might get you a work permit. (You always have to remember that the whole HR administration for foreigners with a B permit requires more work.) The best chance to get work in the beginning is in bar work or waitressing. Once you have work you can plan for the future. Currently, we have a much lower influx of foreigners due to the worsening work situation here.
